The openSUSE project we're looking for an enthusiastic Chief Evangelist to promote and spread the adoption of openSUSE, be a public face for the project on conferences and events, act as voice of the community back to Novell's leadership team, develop and nurture the openSUSE communities, pro actively drive openSUSE marketing. This is a global role and as such, you can be located anywhere in the world.

OpenSUSE 10.3 RC2 Live CDs

"As mentioned in the RC1 announcement, we're doing only internal testing of the following release candidates to avoid storming the mirrors. But we decided to upload the live CDs, so you can test these and see if there are regressions in what you reported."

JackLab 1.0 Released

The JackLab project released the final 1.0 version of the JackLab Audio Distribution (JAD) today after a development period of over eight months. JAD 1.0 is based upon openSUSE 10.2 with the addition of a real-time Kernel for fast audio processing with the professional audio server JACK.

openSUSE Project Turns Two with Improved Build Service and 10.3 Beta

On the second anniversary of the creation of the openSUSE project, the community program this week marked two new milestones – the availability of the first beta of openSUSE 10.3 and the continued growth of the openSUSE Build Service.

openSUSE 10.3 Alpha7 Released

Alpha7 is ready after 5 rebuilds. Important changes since Alpha6 include Linux 2.6.22.1, gcc 4.2.1, libzypp 3.12.1 and the package set of the CDs are heavily reshuffled and with it the patterns also affecting the DVD.

openSUSE 10.3 Roadmap

openSUSE 10.3 is the next release that incorporates new features from both the community and Novell internal development. The distribution will be build for the x86, x86-64 and Power PC platforms.
