Call for Papers Opens for ApacheCon Europe 2007

The Call for Papers is now open for ApacheCon Europe, to be held May 1-4 at the newly-opened Movenpick Hotel, Amsterdam. The conference will consist of one day of tutorials (May 1) and three days of regular conference sessions (May 2-4).

Apache project keeps pace with Java changes

Apache Harmony, started last year, is creating an open-source version of Java Platform Standard Edition (Java SE), software for making Java programs on PCs.

About two weeks ago, the board of the Apache Software Foundation approved a change in status from incubator to top-level project, Geir Magnusson, who is the chair of the Harmony Project Management Committee, said Tuesday.

The Apache Tomcat team is proud to announce the immediate availability of Tomcat 4.1.34 stable. This build contains numerous bug fixes, documentation updates, and other improvements.

Apache Muse 2.0.0 is now available

Apache Muse 2.0.0 is now available. The Apache Muse Project is a Java-based implementation of the WS-ResourceFramework (WSRF), WS-BaseNotification (WSN), and WS-DistributedManagement (WSDM) specifications. It is a framework upon which users can build web service interfaces for manageable resources without having to implement all of the "plumbing" described by the aforementioned standards.
