Red Hat, Inc. and Intel Corporation announced a new reseller program that allows Intel Channel Partner Program members to rapidly enter the Linux solutions marketplace. Named the Global Channel Acceleration Program, this reseller program provides participants with a fast method to sell supported pre-certified solutions that combine Red Hat's portfolio of solutions on Intel platforms.
The Global Channel Acceleration Program also eliminates the high costs and lengthy waiting times resellers usually undergo to prepare solutions for sale. The program, which is offered free of charge to qualified Intel Channel Partner Program members, reduces time to market from months to days. The Global Channel Acceleration Program is available to Intel Channel Partner Premier and Associate Program members.
This is a very exciting program for Red Hat and Intel, said Ed Boyajian, Vice President and General Manager, North American Sales at Red Hat. With the Global Channel Acceleration Program, Intel Channel Partner Program members can enter the multi- billion Linux market immediately. We're very pleased about helping Intel's top resellers grow their businesses with more quality, certified solutions.
We're very pleased to help our Intel Channel Partner Program members with rapid entry into the expanding Linux marketplace with Red Hat's comprehensive portfolio of solutions and new ways to provide their customers with more value, said Steve Dallman, general manager of Intel's worldwide channel. The Global Channel Acceleration Program also paves the way to ongoing revenue possibilities made possible by Red Hat's subscription renewal model of payment.
Participation in the Global Channel Acceleration Program is offered at no charge. Free enrollment in the Intel Enterprise Server Acceleration Alliance (ESAA) and Red Hat Ready program is required.
ESAA gives Intel Channel Partner Program members access to validated solution guides needed to build customized software and hardware solutions. Red Hat Ready certification includes the Red Hat Business Partner designation, which allows vendors to use the Red Hat business partner logo and have access to a range of training and pre-sales support services.
