XaraLX, the GPL'd Linux port of Xara Extreme, which is a vector graphics software, is suffering from stagnation and lack of interest to the project. Its future is uncertain, since there are almost no developers working on it.
They say that, since the Open Source project can't be hold financially and doesn't attract interest, they would rather focus on a commercial port.
"But our guys are now focussed on new commercial versions. We've toyed with the idea, and remain open that we might create a commercial version for Linux as well, as that could be one way out of the current situation. The Mac version is being developed as a commercial product."
